**We are excited to announce…..the MMP-I workshop is now open!**

This development will facilitate propeller refurbishment and tuning services, providing very high accuracy repair and modification to our customers. The workshop is fully equipped with our new custom designed, custom manufactured, Hydraulic Pitch Adjustment Machine (Tweaker) and two separate MRI computerised propeller measurement machines.

These MRI’s are fitted with linear transducers that transmit precise 3-D data and measurements. Using this data in conjunction with the Tweaker we are able to fine-tune any propeller resulting in enhanced vessel performance, reduced fuel consumption, and the elimination of propeller induced vibration.

**We are live on a variety of social media platforms, and regularly post videos, imagery, and feedback of our products and services that may be of interest to you –

Please join us in welcoming our new Operations Manager, Paul Kelly, to the MMP-i team.

Paul has over 23 years of experience in the marine industry, predominantly spent in the workshop manufacturing. Paul’s expertise and experience as a marine and general Engineer allow the highest quality production of both standard and bespoke parts.

Outside the workshop, Paul likes a challenge. Since the start of the year, he has completed his first London marathon, Chase the sun cycle challenge (209 miles completed from sunrise on the East coast to sunset on the West coast) and an Ironman (a 2.4 mile swim followed by a 112 mile cycle ride and a 26.2 marathon). When he’s not training, Paul likes to spend time catching up with friends and family.

Exciting times ahead at Michigan Marine Propulsion International, and we are all looking forward to having Paul on board.

MMP-i have recently introduced a brand new, state of the art workshop, enabling us to facilitate propeller refurbishment and tuning services. To ensure that we are providing the highest accuracy repair and modification for our customers, we are pleased to share that we are welcoming a new addition to the team – Pete!

Pete has over 20 years experience within the marine industry, allowing him to bring across a brilliant level of expertise and knowledge to his new role at MMP-i. Having spent the majority of his career specialising in the repair, refurbishment, and finishing of propellers, we are excited to be setting forth with Pete in place as our expert Propeller Technician.

Outside of the workshop, Pete loves to play a few rounds of golf and enjoys walking the moors with his Border Collie, Toby. Please join us all in giving him a warm welcome to the Michigan Marine Propulsion International team.

MMP-I has recently seen the launch of brand new propeller range ‘Canal Line’.

Built to the same exacting standards as all our high quality propeller models, it is the only propeller specifically designed and manufactured to meet the demands and harsh conditions of the Inland Waterway market. Collision with submerged objects and debris, in-experienced boaters and poor propeller materials and design have all combined to create problems for owners and operators on our Inland Waterways. The deliberate dimensional features of Michigan’s new Canal Line propeller are designed to reduce and eliminate this damage that can lead to expensive repair or replacement.

Why fit a Michigan Canal Line propeller?

1) Custom designed for the Inland Waterway sector.
2) Extra thick blade tips to protect against impact damage.
3) Skewed blade profile for smoother running.
4) High definition Anti Singing Edges to eliminate vortex induced noise.
5) All popular sizes available direct from stock for next day delivery.
6) Close tolerance manufacture to the globally recognised standard ISO 484/2.
7) 100% certification and traceability of raw materials.
8) Every propeller supplied with in-box manufacturers inspection and QA certificate.
9) Rigorous control of the sand moulding and metal melting processes.
10) Modern factory inspection equipment and gauges.

Review

Allan inquired about our Michigan Ballistic propeller in the hope of increasing performance for his power boat. Having always used a Laser 2 propeller, he spoke of his skepticism in changing to a different brand and model, but took the plunge after talking through any concerns with the MMP-i team.

“I was wanting to improve the performance of the boat and had always questioned if the ballistic product would make a difference over the trusty Laser 2 go-to prop. Eventually I took the plunge with the excellent help and advice given by Tom and the team at Michigan.
I wasn’t expecting too much, but jeez I was wrong, more testing to be done, but straight away the boat has more lift and is running at least 5mph quicker with the same pitch. It even sits on the plane at lower RPMs and has picked up around 150-200 RPM top end. The boat is now running consistently over 60mph no matter what the load or whether the hood is up or not. It will now run right off the clock at 65 with the hood off. So impressed, it’s well worth the money and hopefully this review will put others minds at rest and take the plunge. Also helps that the prop looks great and has already been admired at the slip way! Thanks guys.”
